The player suffered a serious knee injury but now he is back in South America trying to work on his fitness.At the moment , Ronaldo (former World Player of the Year) is a free agent looking for a new club (after seeing out his contract at AC Milan) and one of his two options is Manchester City and the other one is Flamengo.

Ronaldo is delighted because he is attracting interest from both clubs : Manchester City and Flamengo.

"Flamengo and Manchester City are two options," Ronaldo told Brazilian website Terra.

"But nothing more than that.

"There is nothing concrete.

"The most important thing is that there is interest from big teams."

Ronaldo hops to be back to his team from Brazilia after he will finish his fitness as he declared :

"It's clear that I have nostalgia for the national team but I am continuing with the utmost calm," added Ronaldo.

"I want to first return to the right spot physically and then come back to play and then think about Brazil."
